Metropolitan Education District (MetroED) is a regional provider of Career Technical Education (CTE) and Adult Education. As the largest organization of its kind in Santa Clara County, we are dedicated to offering career-oriented education to both high school and adult students. Annually, MetroED provides 2,600 diverse students with the skills to help them be productive, income-earning, and tax-paying contributors to Silicon Valley. MetroED collaborates with designated districts to provide comprehensive educational opportunities for adults and high school students. Through our Silicon Valley Career Technical Education program, we offer career technical education to high school students and, on a space-available basis, to adult students in the following districts: Campbell Union High School District, East Side Union High School District, Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District, Milpitas Unified School District, San Jose Unified School District, and Santa Clara Unified School District. Additionally, our Silicon Valley Adult Education provides courses for the San Jose Unified School District.

Job Summary

The Instructional Coach provides direct support to teachers with their development and implementation of effective instructional practices to relate to specific content area lessons. This position is intended to focus on district and school efforts to improve instruction supported by appropriate resources aligned with content standards, as well as activities through in-services, guest speakers, modeling, and in-class observations/-feedback. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, work independently with little supervision, be a self-starter, and will put students' needs first.
